Cue the confetti, I AGREE WITH TRUMP!
Trump- "Pete Rose played Major League Baseball for 24 seasons, from 1963-1986, and had more hits, 4,256, than any other player (by a wide margin). He gambled, but only on his own team winning, and paid a decades long price. GET PETE ROSE INTO THE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME. It’s Time!"

Damn, I just had a confusing conversation! Gretel was telling me things that she learned about George Washington this week at school. First thing, she said he was black, which I had to protest. She got pissed because she read it in a book so it must be true. Zuzu chimed in, saying that sometimes people make mistakes, so maybe the book was wrong. I half-snapped, "they're not going to get something like that wrong in a children's book!" Gretel kept telling me things about George Washington... his parents were slaves, his dad died when he was a baby, his mom was kidnapped and was never found, his neighbors called him the "plant teacher." I was trying to tell her as nicely as I could that she was 100% mixed up. She added that he invented peanut shampoo. Wait a second... peanut shampoo, huh? I told her she was talking about George Washington Carver, and we all had a good laugh.

Is anybody in need of a clear example of cult-like worship of the president by some of his supporters? Remember Sondland's damning testimony? And remember how the president said it was such a great job which was echoed by a ton of supporters? And did you see how Trump now fired Sondand, and many of his supporters are now saying that he was a no-good bum anyway? Well anybody who believed him both times is allowing the president to manipulate them. No argument will work with them... if the president says it's good, it's good, and if the president says it's bad, it's bad. Reminds me of what Bill Maher said last night... if you see the president on 5th Avenue with a gun, maybe walk the other way.

I suppose this is the type of focus many Republicans expect from their leader. Good news though- I'm glad he's on the side of all of us who are pushing him to do the right thing! Excellent!
Afterthought- has anybody trademarked the phrase, "invisible tiny hands of the market place"? His bullying caused their stock to crash initially.
Trump- My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by Nordstrom. She is a great person who is always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!

Some Wise Advice Circulating:
1. Don't use his name;
2. Remember this is a regime and he's not acting alone;
3. Do not argue with those who support him--it doesn't work;
4. Focus on his policies, not his orange-ness and mental state;
5. Keep your message positive; they want the country to be angry and fearful because this is the soil from which their darkest policies will grow;
6. No more helpless/hopeless talk;
7. Support artists and the arts;
8. Be careful not to spread fake news. Check it;
9. Take care of yourselves; and
10. Resist!
Keep demonstrations peaceful. In the words of John Lennon, "When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you - pull your beard, flick your face - to make you fight! Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor."
When you post or talk about him, don't assign his actions to him, assign them to "The Republican Administration," or "The Republicans." This will have several effects: the Republican legislators will either have to take responsibility for their association with him or stand up for what some of them don't like; he will not get the focus of attention he craves; Republican representatives will become very concerned about their re-elections.

"Going bananas" is a euphemism for "going ape shit." Get it? Bananas... ape shit? Most people don't know that, and that's probably because I made it up. (But it's probably true, right?)
